Back in August we announced that we’d once again been shortlisted for two awards in this the Electrical Industry Awards 2019.

Our MEICA Technical Services division was up for Contractor of the Year and our new MSFM was competing in the prestigious Trade tool of the Year category.

The official awards ceremony took place on Thursday 24th October at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington but, unfortunately, we weren’t among the winners. The calibre of entries was, once again, outstanding and we were very proud to be on the shortlist – huge congrats to all of the companies who won on the night!

Commenting in the awards, Steve Stone, technical director of MEICA Technical Services, said: “The Electrical Industry Awards (EIA) are unique in that they bring the whole of the UK electrical sector together to reward and celebrate the very best in products, people, businesses and projects. Just to make the shortlist was a huge achievement for us and enabled us to showcase some of the many successes the team has delivered for clients over the last 12 months.”

Continues Steve: “As the specialist engineering division of the Detectronic Group, we’re increasingly the ‘go to’ MEICA provider for a wide variety of national clients, including several blue-chip companies. Many have come to rely on our unrivalled electrical expertise to implement mechanical and electrical engineering projects as well as delivering instrumentation, control and automation schemes.

“We understand that every project is different, therefore we offer a bespoke approach from start to finish. Our operational standards remain an industry benchmark and we aim to exceed expectations wherever possible; just one of the many reasons why clients retain our services as long-term contracts.

“From design and detailed engineering, to fabrication, installation, maintenance and final decommissioning, we have a proven track record of helping our clients to manage risk, save costs and improve efficiency. Every monitoring project we undertake comes with its individual challenges, but we always have a solution be it motor control systems, refurbishments and chemical dosing controls, to manufacturing and installing weirs and handrails.”

Concludes Steve: “From initial consultation, to on-site implementation, we have the internal resources to manage any project irrespective of its size or location. Take a look at our projects section to find out exactly what projects and schemes we’ve been involved in. And, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the MEICA Technical Services team if there are any specific current or future projects you would like us to look at or discuss.”
