Shining a Light on Rowse Honey

Rowse Honey is a UK honey manufacturer, supplying major supermarkets, stores and other manufacturers with honey since 1954. In February 2018, Rowse Honey selected MEICA Technical Services to upgrade lighting and emergency lighting across six separate warehouses and offices at its manufacturing base in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Rowse Honey has been experiencing a period of growth and has recently expanded facilities at their manufacturing plant in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Objective

Upgrade the lighting and emergency lighting across six separate warehouses and offices with a focus on ensuring maximum efficiency across the site.

Implementation

Cherry pickers were used to upgrade the 6m high-bay lighting in each of the warehouses.

LED lights replaced the old lighting in the warehouses, which is extremely cost-effective and maintenance friendly.

As part of the project we improved external lighting and added a number of new lampposts as part of the overall upgrade package. This ensured that the whole site was well lit and all employees felt safe when entering and existing the site.

The project took 8 weeks to complete and was worth £50,000.
